Family of Jovit Baldivino reveals more details about singer’s death

The family of Jovit Baldivino issued a statement about the cause of the late singer’s death. The first winner of Pilipinas Got Talent passed away earlier this morning, December 9.

Through the former road manager of Jovit at Star Magic, the family made this statement.

“According to Jovit Baldivino’s parents Mr. Hilario ‘Larry’ and Mrs. Cristeta Baldivino and fiancée Camille Ann Miguel (during our personal visit in the hospital on December 6, 2022) he was recuperating for a week with hypertension maintenance medicines,” the statement wrote.

The family shared that the singer happily performed in front of the crowd in Batangas City even if he was advised by the doctors to rest.

“Then he was invited by a family friend from Batangas City. Doctor’s advice not to sing while recuperating. Knowing ‘Bundoy’ (Jovit), he gave in to clamor of the crowd. He sang three signature songs including ‘Faithfully’ by Journey. He was gasping for breath on the third song. After an hour while sitting, his face was deformed with flowing saliva. He was then rushed to the nearest ER at Nazareth of Jesus Hospital last December 3, 2022 around 10 pm,” they continued.

It was revealed that Jovit showed signs of an aneurysm which led to his passing.

“CT Scan showed a blood clot in the brain (sign of aneurysm). 100cc of blood was suctioned 2:00 AM of December 4, 2022. He was comatose for 5 days. Our dearest Jovit Baldivino joined our Creator 4:00 AM today December 9, 2022. He was 29,” the statement closed.

Jovit rose to fame in 2010 after winning the first season of Pilipinas Got Talent. Apart from singing, Jovit also tried out acting with appearances on shows like Growing Up alongside Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, 1DOL with Sarah Geronimo, Coco Martin, and Sam Milby, and Juan Dela Cruz with Coco again.
