Vice Ganda successfully held his first UnkabogaBALL event in Cebu last December 10.

After hosting his first UnkabogaBALL event earlier this year, Vice Ganda brought the much-awaited event to the south with the UnkabogaBALL in Cebu event held last December 10. The It’s Showtime host wore a glorious Maison|Glarino multi-tiered tulle “ROSAL” gown.

During the event, Vice addressed his guests with a hopeful message. “I work hard to find my star. And this star’s shining light I would like to share with all of you tonight. Lahat tayo nandito ngayon, we’ve let our light shine upon each other dahil pag binabahagi mo ang mundo mo all together, we will shine the brightest.”

Two of his celebrity hosts for the LGBTQ+ event with the theme of “history” were Alex Diaz and Markki Stroem who were proud to be part of Vice’s ball.

“Iba ka Meme, in every color. The #UnkaboggaballinCebu which turned out to be the #UnkaboggableAwards2022 was a huge success! Congratulations Meme @praybeytbenjamin and congratulations to all the winners. It was an honour to host for such distunguished and talented creatives. Mag papakitang gilas na ako this coming 2023 para manominate na din ng #UnkaboggableAward!

“Congrats to everyone!” Alex wrote in his Instagram post.

Markki wrote in his post, “Serving Philippine Herstory in my Terno meets S&M fantasy look. Created by the amazingly talented @hanzcoquilla.altacostura.

“Ready to give thanks to our LGBTQIA++ brothers and sisters and everything in between! In fact, serving Non-binary realness today!”

The star-studded night included a program which featured dance numbers from G-Force twin dancers Jorge and Michael and performances from Drag Race Philippines season 1 1st runner-up Marina Summers who won the award for “Unkabogable Star of the Night” after channeling her version of former first lady Imelda Marcos by wearing a white gown with blood stains.

She wrote in her post, “Our winning look for the #unkabogaball2022. This is the part of Philippine History that they are trying to conceal with glamour and misinformation. This is the story that should never be forgotten. Thank you to the team behind me for braving the red carpet with this statement.”

Other celebrity guests at the event include Awra Briguela, social media influencers and host Macoy Dubs and Christian Antolin, director and actor John Lapus, Iyah Mina, and Kaladkaren who proudly shared why she chose to rewear a dress from a previous showbiz event.

She wrote, “Rewear, restyle, repeat because history repeats itself. Charot! 😝😝😝 I’ve worn this dress (without the sleeves) for the #DragRacePH Season 1 launch and I’m so happy wearing it again. Rewearing is essential to minimize our carbon and fashion footprint… and also gastos. Let’s normalize rewearing outfits!”

Earlier this year, Vice showed his appreciation for his fans through an Instagram reel after their unwavering support for him even during the pandemic. He said, “The past few months have not been easy. In fact, they’ve been really difficult. Ang daming nangyari sa buhay ko. May magagaan, may mabibigat. May mga masasaya, may mga malulungkot. May mga winning moments at may mga humbling moments, It was exhausting, really exhausting. Pero araw-araw, nakakatanggap ako ng sobra-sobrang pagmamahal at suporta mula sa inyo. I know, napakarami sa inyo ang nagdadasal para sa kalusugan ko at sa kaligayahan ko. At yun ang nagpapanumbalik ng sigla ko.”
