Sharon Cuneta surprises pianist playing her songs in a mall
Megastar Sharon Cuneta has an impromptu singing session with a pianist inside a mall.
Megastar Sharon Cuneta was all smiles after she surprised Vidalito Infante, more popularly known as “Lolo Bong”, a pianist who plays songs from the ‘80s in a mall in Makati City. The singer-actress paid a surprise visit to the pianist and even sang her iconic song, ”Ikaw,” while he accompanied her on the the piano.
Sharon’s husband, Francis Pangilinan, captured the moment and shared it on his Twitter account.
Sharon quietly walked towards Lolo Bong to surprise him as seen in the video uploaded by Sisame Street Sessions on Facebook. Lolo Bong was speechless for a while but composed himself and continued playing as he invited Sharon to sing along.
“Sinamahan namin ang sweetheart ko para isorpresa si Tito Bong — a regular pianist sa Rockwell Power Plant Mall. Lagi kasi n’ya tinutugtog ang mga kanta ni Sharon tuwing Sunday,” he wrote.
Lolo Bong also played one of Sharon’s iconic songs, “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko”, to which the Megastar happily sang alongside her husband and the crowd. The former senator revealed in a separate tweet that they knew about Lolo Bong way back when the lockdowns were still being imposed.
“During the pandemic, Tito Bong went viral for playing the piano for almost 2 hours to raise money for his medicines. At the time, seniors like him weren’t allowed to go outside. So we sent him a little help for him to get by. We’re so happy to see him playing again in person,” he added.
Different netizens showed positive reactions to the Megastar’s gesture of joining the pianist in his Sunday piano sessions. They shared that Lolo Bong has been going around different malls even before the pandemic to play the piano.
