Kristel Fulgar documented the behind-the-scenes of her first television guesting in Korea.
Filipino actress and content creator Kristel Fulgar had her first television guest appearance in South Korea.
Kristel traveled to Busan alongside Vaneta COO Joseph Hwang for the said TV guesting.
In the vlog, Kristel documented the behind-the-scenes of her TV guesting in a program of free-to-air commercial broadcasting station Korea New Network (KNN).
“Hi guys! So I just accepted this project just for fun and because it was offered to me by my friend Joseph,” Kristel said.
After her television guesting, Kristel said, “It was a memorable and fun experience.”
“But I don’t think I am fully ready to enter the entertainment industry here in Korea. I guess I would be needing more time to learn their language and gain some more courage to explore my career in a different country,” she admitted.
She added, “I appreciate everyone who are very supportive and cheering for me.”
Fans were quick to comment on the vlog, expressing how proud they are of Kristel.
“Para naman akong ate na proud na proud kay Kristel. Silently cheering for her. Pagpupursigi personified on her. Iba siya. Hanga ako sa kanya,” one fan commented.
“Grbe yung success na ni Kristel ngayon. She’s one of the examples ng mga tao na living their lifelong dream talaga and she truly deserves it,” another fan said.
Kristel arrived in Korea back in September to study the Korean language.
In November, she signed with entertainment agency Five Stones Entertainment.
“So I signed with Five Stones Entertainment because for me to have a working visa here in Korea. Kasi kapag kumuha ako ng student visa, they would require me two semesters. Six months ‘yun na mag-aaral ako and ayoko na mag-aral ako ng six months. And then Big Boss (Yohan Kim) is friends with CEO Han and then he asked for favor,” Kristel shared in her vlog back in November.
In the same vlog, Kristel clarified to her followers that she has yet to decide if she wants to pursue show business in Korea.
“Huwag muna magi-expect na maga-artista ako dito, ganyan. Kasi nga hindi pa ako ganun ka-confident mag-Korean. Later na, let’s see. Kung ano ‘yung matutunan ko sa school baka magkakaroon ako ng confidence,” she stated.
She continued, “Alam mo ‘yung showbiz sa Philippines is so tough now, how much more here? I am not expecting anything here. I just want to enjoy! When I’m starting to think about it, parang I feel pressured. Let’s see kung anong mangyayari sa life ko dito sa Korea. Again huwag kayo magi-expect, after ko mag-study ng Korean language, malay mo naman.”
Kristel made her television debut in the Philippines as a child star on the Sunday comedy program of ABS-CBN called Goin’ Bulilit.
She starred in several projects in the Kapamilya network including Maria Flordeluna, Dahil Sa Pag-ibig, Got to Believe, and Bagito.
Kristel is currently active as a content creator on YouTube. Her KrisTells Vlogs YouTube channel has 2.61 million subscribers as of this writing.
In 2021, she directed and produced the Filipino-Korean web drama Love From Home.
