LOOK: Megan Young and Mikael Daez meet Lea Salonga in Utah
Megan Young went into fangirl mode after meeting Lea Salonga.
The celebrity couple met the singer after watching a concert in the US.
“From watching Lea Salonga perfom at @thetabernaclechoir Christmas Concert to meeting her the next day! This is my second time meeting Lea and I’m just happy that I was able to converse with her a bit with the limited time that we had,” Megan wrote on her Instagram page.
The former beauty queen also shared her favorite part of Lea’s performance at the Christmas concert saying, “My favorite part of her performance was when she sang ‘Payapang Daigdig’ on stage. I was in awe the entire time she was singing.”
Megan posted three photos of their meeting.
“*first photo… Fofo and I fangirling over @msleasalonga *second photo… BTS and merch talk hahahah my face says it all Lea was wearing RJ socks toooooo omg I was so kilig fangirling over BTS with her hahahaha *third photo… Inggit si Fofo kasi wala siyang hug hahaha,” Megan posted.
According to its website, The Tabernacle Choir “has given voice to the hopes, joys, trials, and triumphs of people around the world” for more than a century.
The website added, “This 360-member chorus of men and women, all volunteers, has performed at World’s Fairs and expositions, at inaugurations of U.S. presidents, in acclaimed concert halls from Australia and Europe to Asia and the Middle East, on television broadcasts, and now on YouTube and Facebook. The choir has even been referred to as ‘America’s Choir,’ as a result of their high standard of popular choral music.”
Megan and Mikael recently traveled to Salt Lake Utah, USA where the concert happened.
Aside from meeting Lea, Mikael shared that he had his first experience seeing snow in Utah.
“Snooooow!! It’s my first time seeing snow Pinicturan ko, hinawakan ko and now I feel like my hands are going to fall off In fairness, nakakatuwa siya for around 15 minutes and then the -5 degree weather gets to us and we need to go inside again. Excited for the rest of this trip. Any suggestions in Salt Lake City?! Comment below,” Mikael posted on Instagram.
