Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid marked their 12th anniversary as a couple on December 22.

Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid penned sweet messages for each other as they marked their 12th anniversary as a couple on Thursday, December 22.

Through an Instagram post, the country’s “Asia’s Songbird” shared a montage of their wedding photos and other sweet snaps together as she marked the milestone.

“After 12 years kinikilig pa rin ako. After 12 years ikaw pa rin pinakapogi. After 12 years tawang tawa pa rin ako sayo. After 12 years umiiyak pa rin ako pag umaalis ka. After 12 years mas mahal pa kita kesa noon. Happy Anniversary Baba @ogiealcasid,” wrote Regine.

Meanwhile, Ogie said he’s grateful that he got to sing with Regine on their special day.

“Happy 12th anniversary to the love of my life. Singing with you on our special day made me feel so in love with you all over again. What a blessing. Mahal na mahal kita @reginevalcasid,” said Ogie.

Regine and Ogie tied the knot in a private ceremony in Batangas in December 2010, after three years of dating.

In a previous interview, Regine revealed that she went on her first date with Ogie when she was only 18 and he was 22.

She added that it took a while before she developed romantic feelings for Ogie.

“Matagal. Basta nga ganun, parang he started calling me. Because we were just really friends. We had no intention of falling in love. We were just really good friends,” she stressed.

In the interview, the veteran singer also admitted that she and Ogie had a rocky start to their relationship.

“Hindi siya masayang umpisa. Madami kaming pinagdaanan,” she said. “But in the end, it all worked out and now we are here. We are married.”

Regine and Ogie have an 11-year-old son, Nate.
