Korean actor Song Joong-ki confirms he is in a relationship
Song Joong-ki is back In the dating scene.
Korean actor Song Joong-ki has confirmed that he is in a relationship.
In a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, the actor’s agency HighZium Studio has issued a statememnt regarding the news on Monday, December 26.
“Actor Song Joong Ki is currently seeing a woman with positive feelings. We hope that you will look warmly upon their relationship,” the agency said in a statement to the media.
The agency added, “We ask for your understanding in regards to the fact that we cannot confirm any information aside from the fact that they are dating, and we would be grateful if you refrained from publishing any speculative or unconfirmed reports.”
Song Joong-ki previously dated his Descendants of the Sun co-star Song Hye-kyo. They got married in October 2017. In June 2019, they announced that they were divorcing. The divorce was finalized in July 2019.
Joong-ki made his acting debut debut in the 2008 period movie A Frozen Flower. He starred in several hit dramas throughout the span of his career including Vincenzo, Arthdal Chronicles, Descendants of the Sun, and Sungkyunkwan Scandal, among others.
The Korean actor also starred in several big screen projects like Space Sweepers, The Battleship Island, and A Werewolf Boy, among others.
He recently headlined the 2022 hit drama Reborn Rich. Joong-ki played the role of Yoon Hyun-woo who is killed by a family member of chaebol (a large family-owned business conglomerate) Soonyang Group. He miraculously is reborn into the chaebol family and then seeks revenge.
Joong-ki recently made a trip to Singapore for a press conference with Viu ahead of the finale of Reborn Rich.
In an interview with the actor at the event, Joong-ki admitted that he did not expect that the series would turn out to be such a hit.
“I didn’t expect such great ratings because this isn’t a romantic comedy. I heard that many Asian audiences love Korean romantic-comedies and this isn’t that, so I did not expect this response,” he stated as reported by The Straits Times.
