Horror film ‘Deleter’ wins big at the 48th MMFF awards
Director Mikhail Red’s horror film thriller took home major awards like Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress at the MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.
Out of the eight participating films at this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, Viva Films’ techno horror film Deleter emerged as the top winner, bringing home seven awards including Best Picture, Best Director (Mikhail Red), and Best Actress (Nadine Lustre).
Rein Entertainment’s erotic suspense thriller Nanahimik Ang Gabi took home five awards which included Best Actor (Ian Veneracion), Best Supporting Actor (Mon Confiado), and Third Best Picture. Viva’s action film Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told starring Edu Manzano and Aljur Abrenica went home with four awards like Best Screenplay, Best original Theme Song, Fernando Poe Jr, Memorial Award and Second Best Picture.
